Born in Brazil, Ana went to Colorado State University after finishing vet school in her home country. She obtained a MS at CSU, learning echocardiograpy from June Boon. Ana began teaching veterinarians and technicians the art of ultrasound in 1999, which she enjoys doing to this day. She married her husband in 2002, moved to Knoxville, TN in 2004 and  by 2010 Ana had two toddlers and a massage therapy license. Looking for something fun to do with her kids, Ana fell in love with pottery and aerial silks, making that as much part of her life as everything else...
